About Our Staff

Our staff has many years of teaching experience.

Pam Merrill

Pam Merrill is the assistant director and teacher of the 4 year old classes. She received her BA from Roberts Wesleyan College, and earned her Master of Science in Education at SUNY Brockport. She taught first grade in Nicholasville, KY and she has taught at Parma Kids Preschool & Child Care Center for over 30 years. She teaches AM classes at the school.

Janice Hogue

Janice Hogue teaches our 2 year old classes. She is permanently certified in physical education and has more than 25 years of experience with 2-4 year olds at our school. She is a graduate of New Haven College in PA and has her permanent certification in Education.

Caryn Armstrong

Caryn is our director. Caryn is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with a degree in elementary education and has 15 years professional education experience. She has worked with Parma Kids during the summer program in the past and is excited to be here for the school year. She lives in Hilton with her husband and children. She enjoys gardening, cooking, camping, hiking, and the beach.


Dawn Sarlo

Dawn Sarlo is our art teacher. She substituted frequently when her children attended our school and has since come back to teach. She is also a registered nurse. She has personal experience with special needs children and is an advocate for students with special needs. Dawn is also the teacher’s assistant for Tues/ Thurs/Fri 3’s classes.

Cindy Lupinetti

Cindy Lupinetti is a teacher’s assistant for our UPK classes. She has worked at Parma Kids for 20 years.  She has three grown children and has lived in Parma for 28 years.  She enjoys gardening, helping her children, and spending time with family and friends.

Mary Lissow

Mary Lissow is our 3’s Mon/ Wed teaching assistant/ art teacher.  She is married to Mike, and has 5 children.  She has lived in Hilton-Parma her whole life, and has worked with children in various settings.  She is a free-lance artist, a photographer for the fire department, a Catechist for the Diocese of Rochester and writes the village newsletter.  Mary enjoys artistic pursuits, camping, bike riding, spending time with her family, and teaching her faith.

Nicole Parina

Nicole Parina teaches in our Friday Morning 2’s class and our PM 3’s/4’s class with Olivia. She has an Associate Degree in Human Services from Monroe Community College and is currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Keuka College.  She lives in North Greece with her husband Ryan, her two sons, Cameron and Gavin, and her dog Eli. She enjoys social activities and being with her family.

Suzanne Case

Suzanne Case is a teacher’s assistant in our 2’s classroom.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from SUNY Brockport.  She is married and has 4 children.  She has lived in Hilton for 18 years and has previously worked in child care.  She has worked for the YMCA as a gymnastic instructor and is currently a substitute instructor.  She is married and has 4 children.  In her free time she likes to camp and hike with her family.


Olivia Ritz

Olivia Ritz is our afternoon 3’s and 4’s teacher.  She is a graduate of Canandaigua Academy.  She graduated in September 2018 with her CDA.  She previously worked as a child care teacher at the Canandaigua YMCA.  She loves children and is excited to be a part of Parma Kids. She enjoys outdoor activities, soccer, dancing, and shopping.  Olivia lives in Hilton.

Bethannee Yeoman

Bethannee Yeoman is the 3’s preschool teacher. She has an Associate’s degree in early childhood education with a certificate in child development and a Bachelor’s degree in business management. She has worked with children in various settings including summer youth camp, school age programs, daycare programs, and has served as a lead teacher and director for a co-op preschool. Bethannee lives in Hilton with her husband, three children, and black lab and enjoys photography, traveling and spending time outdoors.
Erin Cutaia
Erin Cutaia is currently working as an assistant teacher at Parma Kids. She was a teachers aide at Kendall Central School. She got her Associates Degree from GCC. She is married with a beautiful young daughter.
Karissa Whitcomb-Tavey
Karissa Whitcomb-Tavey is our School Age Day Care teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. She moved to Hilton from Easley, SC, but grew up in North Chili. She has a Bachelor in Science of Psychology from Southern Wesleyan University and is currently enrolled in Master’s classes at Asbury Theological Seminary. She has worked with kids as a House Parent, an adoptions worker for DSS and as a Student Minister. She has 3 children of her own and enjoys spending time with family, gardening, crafting and staying active.

Brittany Brown
Brittany Brown grew up in Hilton and is very close with her family. She is the assistant teacher for the toddler class.  She has an Associates of Child Development and is certified in CPR and First Aid. She has always enjoyed working with children, teaching them, and watching them grow. She enjoys caring for children and ensuring they are safe.
